Matthew is one of the most popular students at Heartlake High. He is on the basketball team and writes a comic strip for the school magazine. After school, Matthew likes to head to the beach or the skate park.
Matthew loves music, too. He's been learning the guitar for years and he would love to start a rock band.
Hobbies: Playing guitar, reading comic books and skateboarding.
Matthew is in a boy band called the Dream Boyz with Noah, Andrew and
Matthew is a nice guy who helps save animals in the jungle. He is friends with Stephanie, Olivia, Emma, Andrea, and Mia. He has dark brown hair, brown eyes, and brown skin, although in the LEGO Sets, he appears to have black hair.

He is romantically interested in Emma who returns it, as they have so far been on 2 dates:
- In the webisode 'Cherish Wheel' Emma tried to keep it a secret until they accidentally drop Gina Lobster Brigitta from the top of the ferris wheel and Emma's friends saw the photo of her and Matthew on the projector screen.
- In the webisode 'The Shoe Must Go On' they met up at the bowling alley, where Matthew gave her a bunch of flowers which she was excited to get. Emma immediately used the flowers to decorate the hired bowling shoes that were too plain for her style.
